If you are applying for SBI PO, then the age limit is 21 to 30 years. But, for SBI Clerical positions the age limit is 20 to 28 years.
such percentage criterion is there.
The selection procedure is completed in 3 phases. In the first phase, there is a preliminary exam (Tier-I). In the second phase, those who have been shortlisted in Tier-I appear in the main exam (Tier-II). The Tier-II exam consists of an objective test and a descriptive test. In the 3rd and final stage, the candidates who have cleared the Tier-II exam appear in group exercise and personal interview rounds.
SBI Clerical selection procedure comprises preliminary exam (Tier-I) and main exam (Tier-II). Both are aptitude assessment online objective exams. However, the marks scored in Tier-I are not taken into account, while preparing the merit list. Further, SBI may even conduct interviews for clerical vacancies (subject to approval from Govt. of India).
A descriptive test is only conducted for the purpose of probationary officer recruitment.
Maths (Quantitative Aptitude) is one of the subjects in Tier-I. But, in SBI PO Tier-II, it gets replaced by Data Analysis & Interpretation.
Be it the preliminary exam or the main exam, you have to clear each section individually as well. The cut-off score for each section is determined by SBI. However, clearing the section-wise cut-off alone does not suffice. You must also score sufficiently high overall marks so as to move ahead of others in the competition.
SBI conducts its probationary officer, clerical and specialist officer exams once a year. Depending on the eligibility criteria, you may attempt all the 3 exams. It is generally seen that the probationary officer exam is conducted in the first half of the year.
The number of maximum attempts for General category candidates is 4. For candidates belonging to OBC, this number is 7. For SC & ST candidates, there is no such restriction. Further, it must be noted that appearing in Tier-I (preliminary exam) alone won’t be counted as an attempt.
State Bank of India jobs are among some of the most sought after Govt. jobs. Hence, the number of candidates appearing in the exam is quite high and so is the level of competition. Given this scenario, it is best to start preparing immediately so that you have ample time for course completion and practice. To sum it up, the sooner you start, the better it is.
